Affirmation

Insecurity

Repeat the affirmation several times until you feel an internal shift.

Some insecurities hit at the most unexpected moments, while other insecurities have more to do with who we are as people, whether or not we are aware of it. At some point, in each person’s life, insecurity plays a part, and it is very normal. If given the right attention, it can become food for change that promotes real growth.

Affirmation:I will encourage myself and have compassion for my insecurity. I will be kind and loving to my insecurities as if I am talking to my best friend. My insecurities and mistakes are my teachers. I am capable, enough as I am, I am worthy, and I matter. I care so much about myself that I owe it to grow and learn from my insecurities. I am my own best friend.”

Affirmations are designed for a quick approach to your emotions. They give you a chance to look at emotions differently. In general, most feelings are reactions to life events. Other feelings can come from old or past negative stress, which lingers in thoughts and feelings. When your upbringing was hard, brain paths are formed due to external stresses turning into internal stresses and emotional survival techniques are automatically created to deal with stress. This is how automatic brain paths develop while growing up, learning to think in specific ways. Though these automatic survival brain paths almost always work against us when grown up. It is unfortunate most people are not aware of this while in the meantime life gets harder and harder because of the survival thinking patterns, and why humans unconsciously tend to choose familiarity over healthy choices. Even if the familiarity is damaging.

In general, the human brain is stuck in repeating habits, for all humans but especially when exposed to repeated or constant stress. This results in the formation of automatic brain paths due to repetitive energy firing between neurons, and why these neurons grow closer together, which literally become the shortest and most taken brain paths based on whatever we encounter in life. This is an unconscious process. Little do we know we have endless choices about what to think and feel. Affirmations, and the other exercises on MajiMind give you the chance to understand you have other choices. When you repeat the affirmations within your head, it is one of the four ways to train your brain to expand while engaging other parts of your brain as well. Over time, and with commitment to following the MajiMind exercises, you will have more choices about what to do with thoughts, feelings, actions, and reactions. And for the Affirmations, when you choose a feeling and the affirmation belonging to that feeling, make sure you repeat the affirmation in your head regularly for a day or two before you move on to the next one. Because of brain plasticity, meaning the brain can change over time with conscious practices, the brain will slowly create new possibilities of how to think and feel. We at MajiMind are excited we can support you in your change and growth!
