Unheard/Powerless
Repeat the affirmation several times until you feel an internal shift.
When we feel unheard, we start to feel powerless. Being unheard feels like neglect, and it can trigger deep feelings within ourselves. Because being powerless can make us feel like we are not worth listening to, it is almost like speaking to someone who is not able to hear. This can be extremely lonely, exhausting, and frustrating. Of course, it is almost impossible to absorb everything that is said in the world. Though, when people we care about or need to hear us aren’t listening, it feels like being dismissed. In order to gain some power back, it is really important to hear yourself and follow what is authentically true to you, particularly in safe ways. The more we listen to ourselves, and act upon that, the less we need others to hear us.
Affirmation: “I am worth it. I hear myself even if others do not. My thoughts and feelings are important to me. My thoughts and feelings may not overlap with others, and that is okay. As long as all is safe, my thoughts are valid. I am authentically true to myself, and I will find people who will hear me. Absolutely!”
