This meditation is for feeling powerless or unheard. First make sure that your feelings are not unsafe to you or to others. If they are, please call 911. If you just need someone to talk to, you can call one of the numbers provided on the MajiMind site. Now lets start with putting your hands on your chest, and just focus on just that. Focus on how your hands lay your chest as a form of grounding and balance, feel the warmth of your hands touching your chest as a hug just for you. Just resting your hands on your chest is a form of taking care of yourself, it is like bringing the energy back to you. Now before you begin, make sure your phone is off. Sit in a chair with your back straight, or sit in the meditation lotus position, or lay down somewhere comfortable. If you wish you can leave your hands on your chest, otherwise put your hands with your palms open making sure your thumbs touch either your pointers or your middle fingers. Or you can fold your hands on top of one another on your lap. Next, close your eyes gently, and focus on how you are closing your eyes. Now you will be guided on taking some deep breaths. While taking those breaths, visualize, think, sense, feel, imagine or any way you can do it, that you breathe in light from the universe through your nose and into your body, and then you breathe out through your mouth what you don’t want to keep in your body. Now take that first slow and deep breath in, and visualize light coming in through your nose, into your body, and filling it with light, and then breathe out through your mouth any stress, hurt, or other feelings you don’t want to carry within you. Again, breathe in the light slowly and deeply through your nose, and then breathe out all that you don’t want to keep in your body. One last time, breathe in the light into your body, and out through your mouth, and let go of anything that is stressful. Next, start concentrating on your regular breathing, and let go of all the thoughts so you can just be here, in this moment of meditation. Visualize your thoughts as little puffy white clouds on a blue sky, and see them slowly drifting away, far far away till only a blue sky is left. Throughout this meditation, when you feel your mind is being taken over by other thoughts, know that this is completely normal when this happens. Just gently bring your attention back to the music and voice. When someone feels powerless or unheard, they don’t feel seen, they often feel all alone, and don’t feel they matter. It is very difficult when you feel you don’t have a voice. It can be a jittering feeling, or feelings of frustration in your body of not having any power, or not having any influence, or not even being heard. Very Hard to deal with. It makes sense that you feel uncomfortable when it comes to not being heard or feeling powerless. So first of all it is important you embrace yourself that you are going through this, and talk kindly to yourself about the fact you are dealing with feeling powerless and unheard, even when you are trying your best to be heard and it doesn’t seem to make any difference. This can be frustrating, or sad making, or angry making. And these are all normal feelings when you feel powerless or unheard. So see if you can discover where in the body you feel the jiggles about feeling unheard, powerless, and stuck with not knowing what to do next. Sometimes the jiggling feelings can be in the shoulders, or sometimes even in the arms or hands, more often this jiggling feeling is in the stomach or the chest. Lets see if you can find it, or maybe even some restless feelings in your legs and feet. It is understandable you feel this way, it is not your fault. So please embrace these feelings, and not walk away from them. Just pretend you are your own best friend of your feelings of being powerless and/or unheard. That you are going to take care of your feelings as a friend in a kind, loving, and gentle way. So when you feel those sensations in your body just notice them, and say that it makes sense you are having these feelings, it completely makes sense. And breathe into those feelings of powerlessness and unheard, and give them space within you without permission to take over, in a loving kind way. You say “I see you, I get that it is intense but you are not going to take over. I am in charge of you.” And so breathe into those feelings of powerless, unheard, and jittery feelings wherever they are in your body. And release them when you breathe out through your mouth. Sometimes when feeling powerless it feels like everything is crumbling but that is not true. Sometimes when feeling powerless it feels like nothing can be done or nothing works, or even some disbelieve these feelings are present. But in all truth this moment too will pass. Now take a little time internally without criticizing or judging by just asking yourself what you could have done differently in this position. Sometimes we can not do anything differently, while a lot of times if we look gently, with big love in our hearts for ourselves, while helping ourselves as a friend, we can find how we can do things differently for a more desired outcome. So allow yourself to have a little dialogue with yourself. And ask the question with warmth, kindness, and safety what you could have done differently. Try not to blame others because most often it doesn’t make sense to blame others. In life it is hard, but more likely impossible, to change others. The only change is in ourselves to figure out what to do next. And sometimes when a roadblock is reached, that isn’t going anywhere with whatever you tried, it is important to learn to let go of the things that cannot be changed. And at the same time, to give yourself the power to change the things you can change in a positive way for the greater good of everyone involved. Make this commitment to yourself because at times in life it is wise to let go of the things we can not change, things we do not have control over. So take a Then breathe the feelings powerless and unheard out through your mouth, just let it go. And again breathe in the light into the feelings of powerlessness and unheard, and breathe it out through your mouth. Continue doing these breathing exercises by yourself for the next minute and I will come back in a minute.
Okay well done. Now you are going to take it even a step further. You are going to breathe in strength and courage into the things that are changeable. And then you are going to figure out, and work on it the best way you can. With the idea, you have many more choices than you thought you had before you started this meditation. Between black and white are endless colors gray, and the endless colors of gray represent the endless possibilities of how things can be solved. So just breathe in light into your body with the feeling of power, openness, creativity, and kindness for how to approach things from now on. So breathe it in through your nose, openness, creativity, power, and kindness into your body. And breathe out through your mouth the feelings powerless and unheard. And now again breathe in openness, power, creativity, and kindness into your body, let it come all the way into your body, and breathe out all the negative powerless and unheard feelings. Let them go. You don’t need to carry them around because it is only affecting you and no one else. So again breathe in power, openness, creativity, and kindness, and let go, breathe out your feelings of powerlessness, and feeling unheard, good. Well done.
Now, slowly find yourself again how you are laying down, or sitting down, and concentrate on the gravity of your body. Before you go on with your life, commit to yourself that you can do this in ways that are positive, helpful, and kind to self and others. So slowly, when you are ready, wiggle your toes, wiggle your fingers, and then when you are ready open your eyes. And when your eyes are open say to yourself “i got this.” Namaste.
